The club has been fortunate to receive a grant from Derbyshire County Council to replace broken equipment, run a series of taster and development sessions for Women, minis and Juniors, to fund the training of additional coaches and match officials and assist in the funding of tournaments to be held at the ARC.
As a result of this financial injection our Autumn/Winter programme provides the following, all at the Arc in Matlock
Women
Monday 8-9pm - women only session
* Introduction to water polo skills and tactics.
* Mixed age range of 15-50+
* currently FREE training thanks to DCC grant
Wednesday 8-10pm - whole club session
* mixed session all abilities
* fitness, tactics, game play
* only available to members
Juniors
Monday 7-8pm Main pool
Tournaments : the first of which is on 11th November 2023.
Minis
Monday 7-8pm Teaching pool
* Sets of 8 sessions
* Aimed to prepare for moving to juniors

Senior Men & Youth
Wednesday 8-10pm - whole club session
* mixed session all abilities
* fitness, tactics, game play
* only available to members
The Wednesday session also hosts the men’s inter club matches in the three competitions in which the club continues to compete, the Nottingham Water Polo League, the Nottingham Water Polo Knock out Cup and the Nottingham Water polo Handicap Cup.
The club is affiliated to the National Governing body for the sport (ASA/British Swimming), this affiliation provides personal insurance for the first two sessions for anyone trying the sport for the first time. Thereafter the individual is required to join the Club, at the appropriate level, in order to continue to benefit from the personal insurance cover.
